TCKを始めたきっかけ＆よかったこと

息子は米国ボストンに７年近く滞在していたため、日本の教育システムに慣れておらず、高校受験は帰国子女入試の一択となりました。

しかし、帰国子女入試の情報や受験対策は限られており、また、帰国した時期が入試の半年前であったこともあり、受験に対する不安は相当なものでした。TCKは米国在住の時に、親の間での情報で評判が良かったため、帰国後に受験対策をお願いすることにしました。

TCKでは、息子にあった先生にレッスンをしてもらうため、体験授業を何回かしていただきました。その中で、ボストンでの滞在経験があり、息子との相性が良かった野澤豪真先生に出会えたことは、非常に良かったと思います。

レッスンは英検１級対策から志望校のエッセイや面接の対策を中心に行っていただきました。息子の学習状況を共有し、レッスン内容についてはこちらからの要望に臨機応変に対応していただいた点も良かったと思います。

入試直前には模擬面接を行っていただき、励ましとともに受験に臨むことができたのは、息子にとって大きなプラスとなりました。そして、無事に志望校に合格できたことを、野澤先生をはじめTCKの皆様に大変感謝しています。

Goma-sensei has done a lot to help me as a writer, interpreter and speaker.

When I first had my meeting Goma-sensei, he improved and simplified my expressions and
cut some run off sentences for the Shibumaku essay practice. Around November, Goma-
sensei contributed to my Eiken test, where we emphasized on interviews so that I could
speak more clearly and articulate good responses. With his help, I passed the Step Eiken
score of Grade 1.

During late December and early January, Goma-sensei and I brainstormed ideas for the
school exam interviews. He went over some basic structures for responses in interviews
and gave me inspirations for different types of responses. We specifically emphasized on
philosophical questions posed by the IB course of Tokyo Metropolitan Kokusai high. Such
as the effects of not having music, what rational is, and the difference between theory andpractice in science.

With Goma-sensei’s contribution to my studies, I passed the IB course of the Tokyo
Metropolitan Kokusai High School and Shibumaku. I have the utmost gratitude for his help
and my personal improvement as a English writer, interpreter and speaker.
