TCK Workshopを始めたきっかけ、始めて良かったこと

娘は１才から海外で暮らしており、あっという間に14才になっていました。なんとなくICU高校受験を考えていたのですが、自己PRカード作成・面接対策など何から始めたら良いか分からず不安でした。

そのようなとき、動画でTCK workshopの先生がお話しなさっているのを拝見しました。どんな環境で育った子供に対してもそれぞれに合ったご指導をしていただけるかもしれないと思い、個別相談を申し込みました。担当していただいた相吉先生にそのままご指導をお願いすることにしました。

授業では、娘のあまり上手ではない日本語での話を最後までじっくりと聞いていただき、良いところをたくさん誉めていただきました。授業を通して、今までの楽しいことばかりではない海外生活に意味があったということに気付くことができました。おかげで、娘らしい個性的な自己PRカードを完成することができました。そして推薦入試面接の日、自信を持って楽しく終えることができました。

不安でいっぱいだった娘が今では自信でいっぱいです。ご指導いただきありがとうございました。

Thanks to the assistance of Mr. Aiyoshi, I was able to enroll into ICUHS.

During the lessons that we had together, Mr. Aiyoshi would explain topics in English or easier Japanese. This definitely made my learning much more comfortable since it was taught to me in a way that I am used to. Furthermore, Mr. Aiyoshi shared similar interests as I do—for example, we both share a liking for art.

Mr. Aiyoshi would make the lessons we had together memorable, trying to relate many topics being spoken about to me, and truly revealed the creativity I had for writing. Also, during the TCK workshops, doing my lessons in Japanese has definitely widened my vocabulary; I was also taught commonly used words or phrases in Japan that are crucial for everyday life there.

Overall, I appreciate the assistance of my teacher Mr. Aiyoshi and the TCK workshop. Thank you for helping me to begin my new journey in Japan!
